The Distinctive Waldowood

Waldowood 2003

Waldowood 2003 had a distinctive simple plan that contained three rail lines. There were no figure-eight or intertwined rail lines for the first time in more than 10 years.

This Waldowood was divided into two parts: North Waldowood, a residential area, and South Waldowood, consisting of the Alpine Village and a commercial district that included a new convention center that was cantilevered over one of the rail lines.

A convention center (white structure, near lower right) was cantilevered over the circle railroad line in Waldowood 2003. This center was served by the Alpine Village train station. Note the replica Empire State Building standing near Mirror Lake.
